In diesem – auch kulinarischen – Podcast weiß man nie, was passiert, alles ganz nach dem Geschmack von Fernsehen-Star-Koch Tim Mälzer und dem flachsten Flachwitzpapst Deutschlands aka Moderator Sebastian E. Merget. Gemeinsam mit ihren Gästen geben sie bei „Fiete Gastro“ wirklich alles: Hier werden Bunsenbrenner aktiviert, Fische filetiert, Tastings zelebriert und Hähnchen karamellisiert. Ob Iris Berben erzählt, dass sie am liebsten ganz allein nachts ein Glas Rotwein trinkt, Olli Schulz Hasstiraden gegen Mozzarella ins Mikro brüllt und Austernwasser mit Rotze vergleicht oder Marteria dogmatisch erklärt, warum ein Aal eigentlich kein Fisch, sondern King ist – das alles ist “Fiete Gastro”. Und noch viel mehr! Denn natürlich wird auch höchste kulinarische Expertise serviert, indem Tim und Sebastian sowohl Sterne-Köche und Köchinnen, als auch TV-Köche, Fleischgötter und Restaurantbesitzer begrüßen. Es wird hitzig diskutiert, gestritten (meistens fängt Tim an) und mit Fun Facts rund um Kulinarik, Gastronomie und Kochen geflext. Tim weiß nie, welchen Gast er erwartet und dementsprechend spontan und unvoreingenommen ist er. Umso besser vorbereitet ist dafür sein partner-in-fine-dine Sebastian.
