Wait, no, Chuck Schumer seems instead focused on goading Trump into a war with Iran. Go figure. He also opposed the Obama nuclear deal when it was being negotiated back in 2015, despite that it was arguably the Democratic president's most important foreign policy achievement. The Anti Defamation League's Jonathan Greenblatt is once again going after Hasan Piker for criticizing Israel's genocide in Gaza. And Fox News is waging a war on Miss Rachel with a horrible song, saying that Mr. Rodgers would never opine on politics, despite that he very famously advocated for de-segregation and nuclear disarmament. In the Fun Half, Steven Miller is trashing Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society over some of their judge's rulings on immigration. The UAW puts out an anti-Cuomo ad that promotes their endorsement of Zohran Mamdani as well as progressive Brad Lander. The Roosevelt Institute's director of industrial policy and trade Dr. Todd Tucker joins Emma and Sam to break down the impact of the Trump administration's tariffs, as well as what a progressive tariffs regime might look like. Trump seems to see trade deficits as a zero sum game that he's asking Americans to make a huge sacrifice to win, though it's not clear why. 2487 - Economy Shrinks In Trump's First 100 Days; GOP War on Social Security w/ Martin O'Malley

The U.S. economy shrunk by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2025 according to the Commerce Department. That's a huge splash of cold water on the Trump administration's celebrations marking his first 100 days in office. In addition to that, Trump gave an interview to ABC News last night where he acknowledges he could bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador if he wanted to, seemingly flouting the Supreme Court's order to do just that. So what is Chuck Schumer up to? He's put out a video literally clapping back against the administration's planned tax on cars. Great to see he's always on point! Sam is joined by Biden's former Social Security administrator Martin O'Malley, who has been raising the alarm about Republicans' assault on his former agency in a variety of ways. In the Fun Half, Sam look at more clips from Trump's 100 day celebrations, including a chilling moment at a rally in Michigan where Trump plays footage of prisoners in El Salvador's prison are paraded around for the cameras and have their heads shaved. The crowd chants U-S-A in response.
