Amanda shares her experiences with the Joshua Generation and their goal of taking over the government, and ultimately the world, as an “elite strike force” for Christ. 31 - The Military and the Cult

Amanda shares some of the most embarrassing moments from her military career. Turns out growing up in the IBLP cult means there's a lot of slang and innuendo that goes right over your head. A best practice is probably not to repeat any new phrases until you Google them, but sadly that is not what happened. Amanda also tells Kyle about some of her greatest successes in the military and how growing up in a cult helped her cope with military training and other high-pressure environments. Kyle asks Amanda the greatest hinderance she faced as a female cult kid who went into a STEM career field in the military, and it just so happens that you really do need to know more math than fractions. But also, according to the cult, females are not supposed to be in the military. This episode (or at least the good parts of this episode) is dedicated to the men and women with whom Amanda served, will forever love, and for whom she will always be grateful. Correction: Amanda mentions "431 paperwork" in the episode. What she referred to is actually called AETC Form 341 . Send us text! Please note this platform only supports one-way communication. Amanda and Kyle talk about the espionage inherent in the courtship process, Old Testament stories taken literally and implemented, the complete disregard for holistic attraction, and—of course—how men were in charge of the entire process and the young woman being courted had very little to no say over her relationship. 49 - The Seven Phases of a Godly Courtship

Amanda and Kyle embark on a perilous journey through more cult ideology around dating, sex, marriage, and purity. Bill's vision (for everyone except himself and his brothers) involves some pretty steep expectations of young men that are, dare we say, impossible in 2024. Young women fare much better under Bill's system in that they aren't supposed to do anything but be quiet, grateful, and without expectations. All of this ideology is straight out of the Advanced Seminar, and we do not recommend it unless you like oppression.Send us text! Please note this platform only supports one-way communication.
