Sabrina Hill on postnatal psychosis, trolls & letting go

We’re big fans of Sabrina Hill. You might know her from Instagram where she shares hair education tips with her 113 thousand Instagram followers or as the owner of Kopper Hair Salon right in the heart of Cork City. But there is much, much more to Sabrina’s story. In her 20s, she gave birth to her first son Aaron which saw her experience frightening postnatal psychosis. Then last year, in her 40s, she gave birth to her now one year old son Robin. In this episode she details the debilitating hyperemesis gravidarum (severe vomiting) she suffered throughout the pregnancy and how it tested her mental health. Sabrina also talked to us about anxiety and how women need to let go of the idea of being a burden on people. A tragic trip to Turkey

Just 2 weeks ago, 38 year old Lisa Dooley tragically passed away in her home. She had recently returned from Turkey where she had undergone a gastric sleeve surgery. Her brother Michael and sister Anna joined Julie and Brenda to share the story of a life cut tragically short - And to warn people of the very real consequences of undergoing this procedure, not only physically but mentally too. Anna herself underwent the same procedure a few months before her sister travelled and still feels the mental toll of it everyday.
