June 4, 2025, Wednesday of the Seventh Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,The word of the Father is truth, as Jesus highlights in the Gospel of John today (John 17:11 b-19). However, the world hates the truth.Christ doesn't want us to live out of our earthly reality. He wants us to be consecrated to the truth, avoid sin, and share His joy.Lifting his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed,"I speak this in the world so that they may share my joy completely. I gave them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the Evil One. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! June 3, 2025, Tuesday of the Seventh Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,In today’s reading (John 17:1–11a), we see Jesus praying to the Father.“I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me, because they are yours, and everything of mine is yours and everything of yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them.”In Christ, heaven and earth, God and humanity, came together.By healing the sick and setting the pathway for mercy and forgiveness, He brought God’s will.He carried divine light into the darkness of humanity’s sins — hatred, violence, corruption, cruelty, arrogance, and immorality. He taught through His sorrowful passion that darkness is not the most powerful force on earth. Divine merciful love is.The proof that the Eternal Kingdom has dominion over the visible and the invisible is the Resurrection.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! June 2, 2025, Monday of the Seventh Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,In this Monday of the last week of Easter, we reflect on the joys of the mystery of the Ascension. If we love the Lord Jesus, we must rejoice in His glorification, having finished His earthly Passion. Before leaving them, He said to the apostles, “If you loved Me, you would indeed be glad, because I go to the Father.” It was foretold that Christ should suffer to enter into his glory, and we as servants are not above the Master. Therefore, we must accept the hardships and trials of this life, if we want to receive the crown of glory.Christ, who was sinless, experienced extreme suffering and pain. On our side, we are grateful for the opportunity to make amends for our past offenses by willingly accepting the crosses the Father sends us. These crosses are signs of God’s interest in our true healing and purification.Let’s pray that our joy supersedes all subjective states of trouble and grief.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! June 1, 2025, Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,In most countries and ecclesiastical provinces in the U.S., the Seventh Sunday of Easter is today celebrated as the Solemnity of the Ascension of Christ Jesus into heaven, marking the end of His earthly life.Ascending again to His Father, Our Lord preceded us into the heavenly home. This triumphant event fills humans with immense joy as it announces what awaits us.The feast of the Ascension of the Lord in his human nature to the Father is the confirmation of our Christian faith. What we call death is not the end but rather the real beginning to an invisible dimension, with glorified bodies, enjoying a true life of eternal happiness. We are consoled and comforted with the assurance that we will live on forever with our dear ones — which is what all human beings want.Death on earth has separated us from our loved ones temporarily. This break anticipates a new life about to begin. That’s what we see when we look up to heaven and observe Christ ascending to His Father and our Father.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• June 1, 2025, Today’s Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ETEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! May 31, 2025, Feast of the Visitation, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Shortly after the Annunciation and before the birth of St. John the Baptist, we celebrate the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. This feast of medieval origin includes many key events: the cleansing of John the Baptist from original sin in the womb of his mother at the words of Our Lady's greeting; Elizabeth's proclaiming of Mary—under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit—as Mother of God and "blessed among women"; and Mary's singing of the sublime canticle of praise of the Magnificat, which has become a part of the daily official prayer of the Church. The Holy Virgin proclaimed prophetically that henceforth she would be venerated down through the centuries:"My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me, and holy is His name." (Lk. 1:46).The Visitation is frequently depicted in art and was the central mystery of St. Francis de Sales' devotions. The Mass of today honors Mary, who in her womb bore the King of heaven and earth, the Creator of the world, the Son of the Eternal Father.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• May 31, 2025, Today’s Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ETEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! May 29, 2025, Solemnity of the Ascension, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Today is the liturgical Solemnity of the Ascension, a feast that takes place on the fortieth day after Easter Sunday. Since it falls on a Thursday, in many countries and ecclesiastical provinces in the U.S., this Solemnity is transferred to the Seventh Sunday of Easter, which is June 1.The ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Omaha, and Philadelphia celebrate the solemnity today. With his Ascension into heaven, the presence of the “historical Christ” comes to an end, and the presence of the Body of Christ, the Church, is inaugurated.Today is also the Optional Memorial of Pope St. Paul VI (1897-1978), who presided over the completion of the Second Vatican Council. In (Mt 28:16-20) we read, “The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” The Acts of the Apostles (1:11) indicates that Jesus “was taken up”. The disciples were “filled with joy” (see Lk. 24:52), as with Jesus now ascended, the gates of Heaven were open. The same destiny awaits us, since he is the first fruit (see 1 Cor. 15:20).Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! May 28, 2025, Wednesday of the Sixth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Like He is doing today, at that time in Galilee, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide the Church through time, as we read in the Gospel (John 16:12–15):"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth."We all require a divine guide, an advocate, through whom the words of the Father are to be understood. The Holy Spirit reflects the inner life of God and the fullness of life, and the Advocate runs — or should be running — the dynamic of the Church’s life across space and time."The Spirit of truth will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason, I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! May 27, 2025, Tuesday of the Sixth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Today, in the Gospel’s main reading (John 16:5-11), Christ Jesus says that after He goes — and this week we celebrate His ascension — “the Advocate will come to you.”At that time, the Holy Spirit fed the first apostles and Christians when they faced the challenge of proclaiming the Gospel to a pagan world.Today, the Sanctifier helps us in our ecclesial communion, built “on our knees, through prayer and constant commitment to conversion,” as Pope Leo XIV said this Sunday during his first homily as bishop of Rome at the Basilica of St. John Lateran.“This is no easy matter; it calls for much patience and mutual listening,” the Pontiff emphasized. The Spirit sustains us and shows us the way to follow. “It assures us that we are not alone in making our decisions in life,” the pope affirmed.Listening to God’s voice is the most important thing. After all, all we do—or should be doing—is the work of Christ and not our own.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! May 23, 2025, Friday of Fifth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Christ Jesus, the icon of God the Father, revealed to us the eternal truth of the universe. As we read today in the Gospel (John 15:12-17), he said to his disciples:“This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.No one has greater love than this,to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”“You are my friends if you do what I command you.I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing.I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.”A true friend is someone who has seen us at our worst and still loves us. Jesus saw us at our very worst, as we crucified him, and loved us anyway, returning in forgiving love. It’s a life of friendship with God.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 22, 2025, Memorial of St. Rita of Cascia, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Today is the Optional Memorial of St. Rita of Cascia (1386-1457), an Italian saint known for her patience, cheerfulness, and union by prayer with God.After eighteen years of married life, St. Rita lost, by death, her husband and her two sons.Rita's parents gave her in marriage, at the age of eighteen, to an impulsive, irascible, and abusive man. Two sons were born to them, each inheriting their father's quarrelsome temperament. She finally won her husband's heart through her sanctity and prayers, and he converted. However, soon he was murdered by an old enemy. Her sons said they would kill the assassin in revenge. Rita prayed without ceasing, and the children converted, abandoning their impulse. Immediately after, they both died of an illness.Afterward, Rita was called to the religious state. She professed the Rule of St. Augustine at Cascia, her native town, in central Italy. She died May 22, 1456, and both in life and after death has worked many miracles. She was not canonized until 1900 by Pope Leo XIII.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 21, 2025, Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,In today’s Gospel reading (John 15:1–8), Jesus declares that he is the vine, and we are the branches who must remain in him. To unleash the spiritual power we are created for, we must participate in Christ’s divine life."I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.Remain in me, as I remain in you.Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its ownunless it remains on the vine,so neither can you unless you remain in me.”Our God does not want merely worshipers but followers and participants:The Logos became flesh, so we will allow the divine energy to come to birth in us. In other words, God became human so that humans might become God.“I am the vine, you are the branches.Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.Anyone who does not remain in mewill be thrown out like a branch and wither;people will gather them and throw them into a fireand they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you,ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Friends of the Rosary,The world, under the rule of darkness, doesn’t provide any peace, joy, or hope. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid."In the same passage, the Lord is revealing that "the ruler of the world is coming." However, “He has no power over me.”We have no reason to fear and be concerned, as the King of Peace is dwelling with us until the end of time.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 19, 2025, Monday of the Fifth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,We often wonder how to love the Lord Jesus or increase our love for Him.The Son of Man provides an answer in the reading today (John 14:21-26).He said to his disciples:"Whoever has my commandments and observes themis the one who loves me.Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.""Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him,and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.Whoever does not love me does not keep my words."Knowing our inconsistency and weaknesses, Christ Jesus gave us another key — in reality, a gift: the Holy Spirit."I have told you this while I am with you.The Advocate, the Holy Spiritwhom the Father will send in my name--he will teach you everythingand remind you of all that I told you."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 18, 2025, Fifth Sunday of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Fifth Sunday of Easter, at Mass’ Second Reading, at the end of the Book of Revelation (21:1-5a), John describes the Heavenly Jerusalem, where we will joyfully dwell with Christ Jesus forever, once the old order - “the former heaven and earth” - has passed away.As John saw, the New Jerusalem, the new holy city, will be “a new heaven and a new earth.”In the main reading of today's Mass (John 13:31-33a, 34-35), Jesus gives us a new commandment: “love one another.”“As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples,if you have love for one another.”At the Last Supper, Jesus told the Eleven: “As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. All will know you are my disciples if you love one another.”Christ Jesus loved us first, and his love makes it possible for us to love like him in turn.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 17, 2025, Saturday of the Fourth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,In today’s Gospel (John 14:7-14), Jesus said to his disciples, “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” When we pray in the name of Jesus, we are relying on his intimacy with the Father, trusting that the Father will listen to The Son pleads on our behalf to the Father, and His words are the truth. Beyond petty appeals, we must confidently direct our petitions in Christ Jesus, knowing they will be granted at the right time as they result in the expansion of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Friends of the Rosary,Today, May 15, is the Feast of Isidore the Farmer, spouse of another saint, his own wife, St Maria de la Cabeza, two holy souls of the twelfth century in Madrid, Spain. They devoutly attended Mass every day before their daily labors. They served the poor in the city slums, and angels were said to accompany St. Isidore in his work.Isidore and Maria de la Cabeza had a son, who died as a child.Shortly after his death on May 15, 1130, miracles were attributed to his intercession. Friends of the Rosary,Today, May 13, the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, or Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Fátima (Nossa Senhora de Fátima). This feast commemorates the Blessed Virgin Mary’s first of six appearances to three Portuguese shepherd children in 1917.During the apparitions, Mary revealed herself as Our Lady of the Rosary and conveyed messages about the importance of prayer and penance. The message of Fatima includes a call to conversion of heart, repentance from sin, love and trust in God, and a dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary, especially through the daily prayer of the Rosary. On May 13th, 1917, the siblings Francisco and Jacinta Marto, aged 9 and 7 respectively, with their cousin Lucia Dos Santos, aged 10, saw inside a cloud the figure of a woman dressed in white who bore in her hand a rosary. Our Lady of Fatima asked them to return to that place in the following months, always on the 13th day.At those meetings, Our Lady of Fatima revealed startling facts to the children who were to attend, such as the end of the First World War and the threat of a second war, which was even more terrible. Other revelations concerned the political order of the world and the advent of Communist Russia.Mary also exhorted the three shepherd children: “Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners. Many souls go to hell, because no one is willing to help them with sacrifice.”“In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph,” she reassured the children. In 1930, the Catholic Church recognized the supernatural nature of Our Lady of Fatima’s apparitions. In her honor, a sanctuary was erected, and faithful worldwide still visit it as a pilgrimage destination.Today is also the traditional commemoration of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Saint Peter Julian Eymard gave this title to our Blessed Mother in May 1868 to honor her relationship to the Holy Eucharist and to place her before us as a model in our devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.Av...

May 12, 2025, Monday of the Fourth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Praying for Leo XIV’s Papacy

Friends of the Rosary,Christ Jesus is the gate to life. As we read today (John 10:1-10), the Messiah said to the Pharisees,"I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.I am the gate.Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy;I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly."Today, we honor the fourth-century martyr St. Pancras. Like Saint Agnes, Pancras is remembered for winning the martyr’s crown while still a teenager.Saint Bernard evoked his sacrifice: “He has totally emptied himself, and he did not allow himself to be concerned with things he knew could never satisfy him. He knew in whose image he had been made, of what greatness he is capable.”Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Friends of the Rosary,Today, the Fourth Sunday of Easter, is Good Shepherd Sunday and Mother's Day. Congratulations to all moms! The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the true and Good Shepherd of our souls, says in the main reading today (John 10:27-30), "The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me."He knows each one of His sheep and gives His life for them.Today is also the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, instituted by Pope Paul VI in 1964.Yesterday, when Pope Leo XIV prayerfully visited the Shrine of the Mother of Good Counsel in Genazzano, Italy, he urged people to be faithful to Mary.“As the Mother never abandons her children, you must also be faithful to the Mother,” he said.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 10, 2025, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Praying for Leo XIV’s Papacy

Friends of the Rosary,Yesterday, Pope Leo XIV celebrated his first mass as successor of Peter with the Cardinals in Rome, in the Sistine Chapel, where he was elected as the 267th Pope on the fourth ballot Thursday afternoon. In his heartfelt homily, the new Pope called for always better cultivating a personal relationship with Christ and insisted that life lacks meaning without faith.“We are called to bear witness to our joyful faith in Christ the Saviour.”“My brother Cardinals, I invite you to reflect on the marvels the Lord has done, the blessings that the Lord continues to pour out on all of us through the Ministry of Peter.”“Our Saviour alone reveals the face of the Father.”“God, to make Himself close and accessible to men and women, revealed Himself to us in the trusting eyes of a child, in the lively mind of a young person, and in the mature features of a man, finally appearing to His disciples after the Resurrection with His glorious body.”“He showed us a model of human holiness that we can all imitate, together with the promise of an eternal destiny that transcends all our limits and abilities.”“He chose us before we were formed in our mothers’ wombs, reborn in the waters of Baptism and, surpassing our limitations and with no merit of our own, brought here and sent forth from here, so that the Gospel might be proclaimed to every creature.”“Even today, there are many settings in which the Christian faith is considered absurd, meant for the weak and unintelligent. Settings where other securities are preferred, like technology, money, success, power, or pleasure.”“These are contexts where it is not easy to preach the Gospel and bear witness to its truth, where believers are mocked, opposed, despised, or at best tolerated and pitied.”“Yet, precisely for this reason, they are the places where our missionary outreach is desperately needed.”“A lack of faith is often tragically accompanied by the loss of meaning in life, the neglect of mercy, appalling violations ...

May 8, 2025, Thursday of the Third Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | Praying for Leo XIV

Friends of the Rosary,American Cardinal Robert Prevost was chosen as the new pope today. On the second day of the conclave at the Vatican, the cardinal electors chose Chicago-born Cardinal Robert Prevost as the new pope, Leo XIV.Christ Jesus declares in today’s Gospel (John 6:44-51), “I’m the bread of life.”“I am the living bread that came down from heaven;whoever eats this bread will live forever;and the bread that I will giveis my Flesh for the life of the world.”With the living bread of Christ — the heavenly food of the Eucharist — we become alive in a way that we were not before. And since it comes down from heaven, we might see a glimpse of heaven.“Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God;he has seen the Father.”We need “the bread that comes down from heaven” to be alive on earth and prepared for eternity.Heaven is the realm of God, and this is a realm of love. This is what God has prepared for those who love him.In the Eucharist, the sacrifice of Christ is made present. And the Eucharist is the participation in love between the Father and the Son.[The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the central mystery and cornerstone of the Catholic faith. It’s a sacred meal at which we receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ.]Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 7, 2025, Wednesday of the Third Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,Today, as the conclave has started in Rome, we pray for those gathered in Rome, especially the cardinal electors, who will soon elect St. Peter’s newest successor, the 267th Pope. They will elect the man who will become our next Pope, the successor of Pope Francis, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As they enter the Sistine Chapel, they will sing the “Veni Creator Spiritus” (“Come Holy Spirit, Creator Blest”).The proceedings will take place in absolute secrecy, with the 133 cardinal electors sequestered mainly from the outside world until a new supreme pontiff is chosen. The Sistine Chapel [in the picture above], located in the heart of the Vatican, is surrounded by the beauty of frescoes by Michelangelo, Pietro Perugino, Sandro Botticelli, and Domenico Ghirlandaio. It has witnessed every papal election since 1492.Also, today in the Gospel (John 6:35-40), the Lord says, Everyone who believes in the Son will have eternal life, and I shall raise him up on the last day.“I am the bread of life;Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 6, 2025, Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

Friends of the Rosary,At that time, as we read today (John 6:30-35), the crowd asked Christ Jesus to give them the bread of life from Heaven. And the Lord said to them:“I am the bread of life;Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”Also today, the Chruch commemorates St. Peter Nolasco (1182-1258), a French saint who, after participating in the Crusades against the Albigensians, used his inheritance to free Christian prisoners held by the Moors. One night, while Peter Nolasco was praying, the Blessed Virgin appeared and told him to establish a religious order to deliver Christians held in bondage. Together with St. Raymond of Penafort and James I, King of Aragon, he founded the Order of Our Lady of Mercy (Mercedarians) for the ransoming of Christians. A total of 890 Christians would regain their liberty.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 4, 2025, Third Sunday of Easter, (Glorious Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary, Today, the Third Sunday of Easter, the main reading in the Gospel (St. John, 21:1-19) recounts the Risen Christ's appearance and the conferring of the Primacy of Peter. This promise that Simon would be the foundation, the source of strength and unity, in the new Christian community, was made factual on the occasion described here by John. His fellow Apostles and the first Christians recognized this position of authority, and it is evident in almost every page of Acts, the book that describes the infant Church. In today's reading, the apostles' fishing expedition is also highlighted as a symbol of the Church (the barque of Peter) across space and time, with its apostolic task of seeking souls.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. May 3, 2025, Feast of Sts. Philip and James, Apostles, (Joyful Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Today, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Apostles Philip and James, both named in the Eucharistic Prayer of the Roman Canon. They suffered, were persecuted, and martyred, but they trusted in God.As we read in the Gospel today, we, too, must have confidence in God and not be troubled by our adversities. There are many mansions in our Father's house, and if we follow His instructions, Christ will come at the end of our lives and take us to Himself.Like Sts. Peter and Andrew, St. Philip was a fisherman from Bethsaida, in Galilee. According to tradition, he was crucified at Hierapolis in Phrygia, where he had preached the Gospel. Christ declared to St. Philip, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father... I am the Father and the Father is in me" (Jn 14:8, 11).St. James, often called St. James the Less because St. Mark refers to him as "the younger" (Mk 15:40), was a cousin of Our Lord. He was favored by an appearance of the Risen Christ (I Cor. 15:7). As bishop of Jerusalem, St. James wrote an Epistle of the New Testament. When he refused to deny the Divinity of Christ, the Jews threw him from the Temple terrace and then stoned him to death. He was ninety-six years old and had governed the Church for thirty years in a holy manner. As he lay there half dead, with legs broken by the fall, he lifted his hands toward heaven and prayed to God for the salvation of his enemies, saying: Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do! Friends of the Rosary,On May 1st, we honor St. Joseph the Worker, while the secular world celebrates International Workers' Day.Pope Pius XII established the feast in 1955 to honor the dignity of labor and provide a model and protector for all workers. He countered socialist ideology and emphasized the Christian understanding of work as a means of providing for one's family and contributing to the greater good of society. As a carpenter, Joseph supported his family. By the daily labor in his shop, offered to God with patience and joy, St. Joseph provided for the necessities of his holy spouse and of the Incarnate Son of God, and thus became an example to all laborers. He is viewed as a model of dignity and value in human labor. April 30, 2025, Memorial of St. Pius V, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Today is the Memorial Day of St. Pius V, a 16th-century Dominican friar and Pope, known for his intense devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and his promotion of the Holy Rosary.Often referred to as the "Pope of the Rosary," he established the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in 1573, commemorating the victory at Lepanto, and wrote a papal document solidifying the Rosary as a powerful prayer tool. Its document, the Papal Bull "Consueverunt Romani Pontifices," issued in 1569, confirmed the indulgences granted to those who prayed the Rosary.St. Pius V actively encouraged the use of the Rosary, calling upon Christians across Europe to pray it fervently. He lived a life of holiness and reform. In 1572, when he passed away, his final prayer was, "Lord, increase my sufferings but also my patience."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 29, 2025, Memorial of St. Catherine of Siena, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Today is the Memorial of St. Catherine of Siena (1347-1380), Doctor of the Church and one of the leading figures of the fourteenth century. She influenced the pope to return to Rome from Avignon and had extraordinary influence over popes, kings, sovereign cities, and crowds of disciples. This Italian saint gained significant influence through her life of prayer, extraordinary mortifications, spiritual writings, and her continual appeals for civil peace and the reform of the Church."I have placed you in the midst of your brothers," Christ told her, "so that you can do for them what you cannot do for Me.Since her first vision at the age of six, Catherine had entirely belonged to God.One day, while she was praying in her room, Christ and our Blessed Lady appeared to her. Taking Catherine's hand, our Lady held it up to her Son, who placed on it a ring that was visible to Catherine but never to other people.Catherine received an invisible stigmata, which became visible after her death, and through which she accepted the physical agonies of the crucifixion.Though always suffering terrible physical pain, living for long intervals with practically no food except the Blessed Sacrament, she was full of practical wisdom and spiritual insight. After a prolonged and mysterious agony, during which she was paralyzed from the waist downward, Catherine died, at the age of thirty-three, on April 29, 1380.She famously said, "All the way to heaven is heaven because He said, 'I am the Way.'"Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 28, 2025, Memorial of St. Louis Mary de Montfort, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Monday of the Second Week of Easter, a day after Divine Mercy Sunday, we celebrate the memorial of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, a 17th-century French saint revered for his intense devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and the Virgin Mary, especially through the Rosary.St. Louis-Marie wrote the prayer of entrustment to Our Lady, “Totus Tuus ego sum,” which means, “I am all yours.” The late Pope John Paul II took the phrase “Totus Tuus” as his episcopal motto. The saint manifested a love for the poor while he was at school and joined a society of young men who ministered to the poor and the sick on school holidays. When he was 19, he walked 130 miles to Paris to study theology, giving all he had to the poor he met along the way, and made a vow to live solely on alms. With a gift for preaching, he often drew crowds of thousands to hear his sermons in which he encouraged frequent communion and devotion to Mary.He was poisoned by Jansenists, a heretical movement within the Church that believed in absolute Predestination, in which only a chosen few are saved, and the rest damned. He wrote two masterpieces of Marian piety, “The Secret of the Rosary” and “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin,” which he correctly prophesied would be hidden by the devil for a time. The “True Devotion” was discovered 200 years after his death. One year before his death, St. Louis-Marie founded two congregations: the Daughters of Divine Wisdom, which cared for the sick in hospitals and educated poor girls, and the Company of Mary, a missionary order devoted to preaching and spreading devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 27, 2025, Sunday of Divine Mercy, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Today, the Octave Day of Easter, is the Sunday of Divine Mercy. We rejoice in the mystery of Divine mercy, a gift to humanity that the world needs to accept and understand. From the Beginning, the Divinity revealed His nature as love itself. The love of the Risen Lord forgives, reconciles, and restores life. The origin of Divine Mercy Sunday is from a revelation from Our Lord to the Polish nun Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska.Following Jesus' request, Faustina Kowalska initiated the Divine Mercy devotion. On May 5, 2000, five days after the canonization of Saint Faustina, the Roman Catholic Church decreed that the Second Sunday of Easter would be known as Divine Mercy Sunday.Divine mercy is God’s refusal to leave us in our fallen condition. Christ Jesus enters our hardened hearts, banishing fear and sin, and He says, “Peace be with you.”"I shall sing forever the Lord's mercy" (Ps 89 [88]).— Jesus to Sr. Faustina | Excerpts from the Diary of Faustina KowalskaOn one occasion, I heard these words: "My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly cele...

April 26, 2025, Saturday within the Octave of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Over 250,000 people attended Pope Francis' funeral ceremony at St. Peter's Basilica, including leaders from across the globe. In the funeral homily, Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, the dean of the College of Cardinals, described the late pontiff as "a pope among the people," making the number of attendees at his funeral symbolic of his impact on others. After the Mass, Francis' wooden coffin was placed on an open-air popemobile and transported to the burial site at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore outside the Vatican. It was a solemn procession from St. Peter's Square through the streets of Rome. Crowds of faithful lined the route as the late pontiff made his final journey to the basilica he visited more than 100 times during his papacy. The historic Marian basilica will be the pope's final resting place, where he will be buried in a simple tomb marked only with the word "Franciscus."Pope Francis specifically requested burial at St. Mary Major, where seven other popes have their final resting place.Pope Francis, the humble pontiff whose acts of inclusiveness, modesty, and mercy rippled through his 12-year papacy, was laid to rest Saturday in a service he deliberately simplified.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Friends of the Rosary,While we continue to pay our final respects to Pope Francis and mourners fill St. Peter’s Basilica, we read today (John 21:1-14) about how the Risen Jesus appears to seven disciples on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias. It was the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.None of them dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they realized it was the Lord. John the Apostle said to Peter, "It is the Lord."Jesus takes failing, scared fishermen and fulfills his promise to make them fishers of men.To us, he does likewise, abolishing the slavery of sin and granting salvation in its place.Without God, our nets will be empty; with God, they will be filled, as all things are possible. The Lord knows that sometimes we all need a little reassurance.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 24, 2025, Thursday within the Octave of Easter, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,As we continue to mourn the loss of our beloved Pope Francis, during the celebration of the Easter resurrection of Christ, we are consoled and strengthened by his life of faith, hope, and love for God’s people, especially the poor and marginalized. In his last days, Pope Francis bore his suffering and pain with courage. We, too, can learn from his example by living our daily challenges and trials with much trust, faith, and patience.Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich described Pope Francis, who always found time for the poor and marginalised, as “behaving like Christ, open to everybody, speaking about his Father, speaking about mercy.”St. Peter's Basilica continues to host a steady stream of pilgrims, clergy, and dignitaries as they pay their final respects to Pope Francis, whose body was placed on public display on Wednesday morning.Over 50,000 visitors bid farewell to the Holy Father before Saturday's funeral, which will be presided over by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re.• Today, Thursday within the Octave of Easter, the Church honors Sts. Mary of Cleophas and Salome, disciples of Christ. These two saints were among the women who went to the sepulchre on Easter Sunday to anoint the Body of the Lord. There, they heard the proclamation of the Resurrection.Mary, the wife of Clopas, is the mother of James the Less, while Salome is the wife of Zebedee, the mother of James and John.• In today's reading (Luke 24:35 - 48), Christ Jesus appears alive again to his followers. He shows them his wounds in a reiteration of the judgment of the cross, reminding what the world did when the Author of life.He also said “Shalom”—“Peace be with you,” opening a new spiritual as our Savior. The killing of the Son of God is addressed not through an explosion of divine retribution but through a radiation of divine love. April 23, 2025, Wednesday within the Octave of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,In today’s Gospel, two disciples meet Jesus on the road to Emmaus, summarizing for them the entire biblical story and showing how it culminates in the Messiah who offers a sacrifice for the salvation of the world.God foretold his saving plan through the words and deeds of “Moses and all the prophets,” and then he fulfilled them through his Son’s death on the cross.Jesus became present to them. However, even today, people continue to be slow of heart to believe, with their eyes being prevented from recognizing him.The Lord Jesus, however, is relentless in his love. He "draws near," "walks with us," admonishes, instructs, and inflames our hearts.Sitting down with them at the table, Jesus "took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them." Repeating the breaking of the bread of the Last Supper, Jesus made present for them the sacrifice of the cross.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 22, 2025, Tuesday of the Octave of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Tuesday within the Octave of Easter, we continue to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Pope Francis as we pray through our daily Rosary for the repose of his soul. The Vatican announced that Francis, the first pope from Latin America, passed away due to a sudden stroke and irreversible cardiocirculatory collapse after 38 days of hospitalization, and revealed that his will requested a humble tomb with the inscription "Franciscus" at St. Mary Major, one of the four major basilicas in Rome. This burial place contains the Salus Populi Romani, an ancient icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the health of the Roman People. Pope Francis was always there, thanking Jesus through Mary. The funeral Mass will take place this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. local time in St. Peter's Square (4:00 p.m. ET).Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, Dean of the College of Cardinals, will preside at the Mass, which will be concelebrated by Patriarchs, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, and priests from across the globe.Earlier, on Wednesday, the coffin containing the Pope’s body will be carried from the chapel of the Casa Santa Marta to St. Peter’s Basilica, so that the faithful may pay their respects until Friday, and then to the Basilica of St. Mary Major for entombment. In his Easter Sunday homily, Francis called "Christians to actively seek the risen Jesus in their daily lives", urging believers to 'run' just as the disciples did after discovering the empty tomb.“We must look for him without ceasing,” emphasized the Pope. “Because if he has risen from the dead, then he is present everywhere, he dwells among us, he hides himself and reveals himself even today in the sisters and brothers we meet along the way.”In today’s Gospel (John 20:11-18), we find Mary Magdalene weeping by the tomb of the risen Lord.Jesus said, "Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers..."The idea is not to cling to Jesus, but to proclaim what He has accompli...

April 21, 2025, Monday of the Octave of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Remembering Pope Francis

Friends of the Rosary,Rest in Peace, Pope Francis!Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on December 17, 1936, passed away on Monday at the age of 88, reaching the end of his earthly pilgrimage."At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father," Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the Vatican camerlengo, announced. "His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church."Francis recently spent more than a month in the hospital with double pneumonia. But he emerged from his convalescence on Easter Sunday to bless the thousands of people in St. Peter's Square and make a surprise popemobile ride through the piazza. It was his last public appearance before his death. As we celebrate Pope Francis’ life and legacy, we pray today's Rosary for the repose of his soul.Pope Francis was a faithful pastor who spoke from the heart with mercy and affection. He remarked that the Catholic Church is a healing hospital to those wounded by our secular society. We also reflect upon some of his words:"There is an urgent need to see once again that faith is a light.""The light of faith is unique, since it is capable of illuminating every aspect of human existence.""Faith is born of an encounter with the living God who calls us and reveals his love.""Transformed by this love, we gain fresh vision, new eyes to see; we realize that it contains a great promise of fulfillment, and that a vision of the future opens up before us.""Faith, received from God as a supernatural gift, becomes a light for our way, guiding our journey through time.""Yet since Christ has risen and draws us beyond death, faith is also a light coming from the future and opening before us vast horizons. It is a light in our darkness."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 20, 2025, Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Fifth Anniversary of the Rosary Network

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord, we celebrate that Christ, who remained two days in the tomb, is risen from the dead, unleashing on the third day God’s forgiving and hopeful love in all its power."Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen." The words heard by the women at the tomb — Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James — are addressed to us today, too.It means that death, sin, fear, and solitude are not the last words. The Resurrection transcends our sinful human nature. Jesus is truly risen. And our hope has the name of the Risen Lord. He restores us to life.Today, too, He walks in our midst, changes us, and sets us free from sin. The Evil One has no power over us.Christ shines and His eternal light overcomes the darkness of the world.Happy Easter!Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 19, 2025, Holy Saturday, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Fifth Anniversary of the Rosary Network

Friends of the Rosary,Holy Saturday (from Sabbatum Sanctum, its official liturgical name) is the day of the Lord’s rest; it has been called the “Second Sabbath” since the creation of the world. It’s a day of great silence on earth, instituted to enter reflectively into the divine rest. After the great battle against sin and death, Christ Jesus is resting in peace. Upon Him we see the scars of intense suffering, with mortal wounds on His Body that remain visible.Jesus’ enemies are still furious, attempting to obliterate the memory of the Lord by lies and slander. In the silence of the day, Christ Jesus didn’t choose divine vengeance but the ultimate demonstration of divine love.On Holy Saturday, while we meditate on the Passion and crucifixion of Christ, we wait with Our Lady of Sorrows — the Church is represented in Mary — at the Lord’s Christ tomb on His descent into the land of the dead.As the Catechism of the Catholic Church makes clear, “he descended there as Savior, proclaiming the good news to the spirits imprisoned there.”In the evening, as the sun sets, the Church gathers for Easter Vigil. The Church awaits the return in glory in its full splendor of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. After the readings of the crucial moments in creation and salvation history, the Church anticipates the proclamation of the Lord’s Resurrection by singing the Gloria, bells are rung, and the church is fully illuminated, anticipating Easter celebration.Dying with Christ is no recapitulation. As Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life, as St. Paul wrote.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. April 18, 2025, Holy Friday, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Fifth Anniversary of the Rosary Network

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Friday of the Passion of the Lord, Holy Friday, or Good Friday (a deviation of the term “God’s Friday), the Church observes the earthly death of our Savior. It’s a solemn day of mourning, prayer, fasting, and a sense of sadness as we acknowledge our failure to serve our Lord.We slow down, restrict ourselves from entertainment, participate in processions and devotions (such as the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and the Divine Mercy), and meditate on readings and prayers related to the passion of Christ. At three o’clock, the faithful attend the “Celebration of the Lord’s Passion.” It’s not a Mass but a service with three parts: Liturgy of the Word, Veneration of the Cross, and Holy Communion. At the beginning, the priests and deacons prostrate themselves in silent prayer. The General Intentions cover ten areas:For the ChurchFor the PopeFor the clergy and laity of the ChurchFor those preparing for baptismFor the unity of ChristiansFor the Jewish peopleFor those who do not believe in ChristFor those who do not believe in GodFor all in public officeFor those in special needIn part two, we venerate and kiss the wooden cross “on which hung the Savior of the world.” In part three, the congregation receives Holy Communion, and everyone departs in silence. The liturgies of the Paschal Triduum are one continuous act of worship. Yesterday, we saw Christ Jesus at the Last Supper completing the washing of the feet in all humility and instituting the Holy Eucharist and the Holy Orders. Today, at the midpoint of the Triduum of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of the Lord, our pilgrimage comes to Calvary. Tomorrow, the Easter Vigil of Easter will begin with the Service of Light. The first reading at today’s commemoration of the Passion is the fourth of Isaiah’s songs of the Suffering Servant. Then we hear St. John’s narrative of Christ’s Passion. To protect and heal us from darkness, Christ Jesus allowed the fury of sin to destroy Him. He endured the ...

April 17, 2025, Holy Thursday, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | Fifth Anniversary of the Rosary Network

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Holy Thursday, the first day of the Paschal Triduum of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of the Lord, we listen to the words spoken by Christ Jesus to His apostles at the Last Supper, after He had completed the washing of the feet in all humility. As reflected in the Gospel, we meditate on Christ’s actions that day. They included:1 - The eating of the Easter lamb or the paschal meal;2 - The washing of the disciples' feet;3 - The institution of the Most Holy Eucharist and the Holy Orders. It was the first Mass at which Jesus Christ, the eternal high priest, was the celebrant, with the first Communion of the apostles.4 - The foretelling of Judas' betrayal and Peter's denials;5 - The farewell discourse and priestly prayer of Jesus;6 - The agony and capture of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. On Holy Thursday, there are two Masses:1 — The Chrism Mass or Mass of the Holy Oils is usually said in the morning at the diocese's cathedral. The local Bishop consecrates the holy oils to be used during the next year and celebrates the institution of the priesthood. Catholics experience the communion of priests with their bishop in this Mass and give thanks for the Church's priests and for Jesus Christ, the eternal High Priest who "became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him" [Hebrews 5.9]2 — The evening Mass of the Lord's Supper. The whole community and the priests of the parish participate. We recall the institution of the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood and celebrate the Washing of the Feet.In the readings, we recall the Agony in the Garden, and the arrest and imprisonment of Jesus. After the Communion Prayer, the Holy Eucharist is carried through the Church and placed into the tabernacle at the Altar of Repose. We remain in quiet prayer and adoration, keeping Christ company. The Blessed Sacrament is conserved in a closed tabernacle. There is a tradition to try and visit seven churches for silent adoration, to answer Christ's inv...

April 16, 2025, Wednesday of Holy Week, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Fifth Anniversary of the Rosary Network

Friends of the Rosary,Today ends the official Lenten period. Tomorrow, we enter the Holy Triduum, the three great liturgical days: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.Wednesday of Holy Week, traditionally known as Spy Wednesday, reminds us of Judas's treachery, who bargained with the high priest to betray Jesus for thirty silver pieces (Matt 26:14-16; Mark 14:10-11; Luke 22:1-6).Today's Gospel presents Matthew's description of Judas's secret arrangement to betray the Master and the Lord's Last Supper statement on the betrayer. This Gospel prepares us for the dramatic developments of the Thursday of Holy Week. The reading from the Prophet Isaiah is the third portrayal of the messianic Suffering Servant.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
