CFP seeding adjusted | Hoops team misses out on coveted transfer

The College Football Playoff decided on Thursday that the seeding process will be changed, effective immediately. The 12 teams will be seeded as they are ranked, meaning the top-four squads will get first-round byes, regardless if they are conference champions or not. We like the change. How about you? Also, Ohio State's basketball program could not finish the deal with coveted wing transfer Darrion Williams, leaving them still with a gaping hole on their roster. Can they still add a wing that can be an impact player? Or has that ship likely sailed? Plus we talk more OSU football with Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle. Glenville Pipeline interrupted? | Five stars in focus

What gives? We thought the Glenville Pipeline ran directly to Columbus. But ... Gainesville? Florida? Jamir 'JJ' Perez visited Florida this past weekend and came back a Gator. A big, tough, 340-pound Gator that 'Nutters figured would handle the defensive interior in Columbus for years to come. This sounds like a case for Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter, Ohio's foremost recruiting info dudes. Good news: The Dean and Grand Poobah are here ... again. What happened with Perez? X-Man to defend Columbus? | Hoban's heroes | What's up with DL recruiting?

Could we interest you in the nation's top linebacker? How about the nation's second-ranked linebacker? Would you be OK if both became Buckeyes? Start getting OK ... maybe. Georgia native Xavier Griffin (No. 1 LB per 247Sports) de-committed from USC and will visit Ohio State. Georgia native Tyler Atkinson (No. 2 LB) is also a hot Buckeyes target. Feel free to dream about adding the top two linebackers and top two defensive backs (Blaine Bradford and Braylon Womack). Dreaming is free. The prospects won't be. Bill Kurelic is here to get you completely caught up on recruiting targets, who is visiting and who Ohio State coaches are on the road checking out. That would be enough for a regular show. Michigan to get hit with heavy sanctions? Slap on wrist? Somewhere in between?

Depending on who you listen to, Michigan's penalties could be anywhere from severe, to barely a slap on the wrist. Knowles speaks about departure from OSU | How might B1G race shape up this year?

Jim Knowles spoke about his departure from Ohio State and what led up to it during a wide-ranging interview with Heather Dinich of ESPN on Tuesday. What did we make of Knowles' comments? And is there a chance things worked out well in this situation for all parties involved? Ohio State is very happy with the hiring of Matt Patricia as defensive coordinator. Penn State is happy about poaching Knowles from the Buckeyes. And Knowles is happy to be in his home state making north of $3 million per year. Yes, there's a very good chance it worked out well for all sides, but it's still an interesting story. And keep in mind we just heard one side of the story in Dinich's piece. Also on today's show, what might the race for the Big Ten championship look like this year? What about the national title? How are those Heisman odds looking? OSU lands another coveted WR recruit | 2025 OL looks good | Which backup DT will play most snaps?

Stop us if you have heard this one before: Brian Hartline landed a top wide receiver recruit for Ohio State. Yes, the best in the business at recruiting -- and developing -- WRs struck again on Sunday. The Buckeyes received a commitment from Kayden Dixon-Wyatt who is ranked as the No. 6 WR in the country and the No. 59 overall prospect in the 2026 class. Ohio State has the No. 3 class in the country in the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the Buckeyes have the second-best average player rating. Dixon-Wyatt becomes the fourth wideout in OSU's class and is the third-highest ranked player in the class, behind WR Chris Henry Jr. and safety Blaine Bradford. Also on today's show, Dave Biddle and Dan Rubin are going to take a close look inside the trenches for Ohio State this season. In quite a twist from last year at this time, the offensive line looks strong, but there are big concerns about defensive tackle depth. If we had to pick, which one of these guys will play the most snaps as the top backup DT this season: Tywone Malone, Eric Mensah, Jason Moore or Will Smith Jr.? Who would you choose? Portal all dried up at defensive tackle? Is Buckeyes' roster set?

Unless something drastically changes, it does not appear as though Ohio State will add a defensive tackle via the transfer portal. What a long, strange draft it was | Day to meet with media Tuesday

Ohio State came within one pick of tying the all-time NFL Draft record over the weekend, but "only" 14 Buckeyes were drafted. We were pleasantly surprised in the first round when four OSU players came off the board, the most of any program this year. We also liked seeing three Buckeyes drafted in the second round. But then some strange things began to happen. Jack Sawyer falling to the fourth round? No one saw that coming. Will Howard falling to the sixth round and being drafted behind quarterbacks such as Dillon Gabriel and Kyle McCord? Seth McLaughlin going undrafted? Is the Rimington Award winner even allowed to be undrafted? Apparently so. But hey, it was still an excellent draft for the Buckeyes and we are going to talk about it on today's show. Also, OSU head coach Ryan Day will meet with the media tomorrow (Tuesday) which will be his first press conference since the relatively brief one following the spring game. Buckeyes lead way with four first-round picks

Well, that was unexpected. And awesome. In a year where Ohio State was supposed to dominate the second night of the draft (rounds 2-3) -- which will still happen to some degree -- the Buckeyes actually had more first rounders than anyone else with four. Most analysts only had wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and offensive tackle Josh Simmons projected as first rounders. Both of them did go in the opening round, and so did offensive lineman Donovan Jackson and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams. Ohio State has now produced 95 first-round draft picks all time, the most of any program. What will tonight look like? What else is going on in the world of OSU football? What would make 2025 season a success for Buckeyes?

What would make the 2025 season a successful one for Ohio State? Do the Buckeyes have to become the first team in school history to win back-to-back national championships for the season to be considered a success? What about a scenario where OSU defeats Michigan and makes the College Football Playoff, but falls short of the national title? Perhaps even losing in the quarterfinals. Would that be a successful season in your book? That is the main topic on today's show with Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle.
